Fall is a busy season for youth sports, and optimal nutrition plays a critical role in athletic performance, recovery, growth, and injury prevention. This presentation provides youth athletes with an evidence-based overview of the unique nutritional needs of young athletes, including practical fueling, hydration, and recovery strategies to support performance, overall health, and long-term athletic development.

Speaker: Renee Korczak, PhD, RDN, CSSD, LD
Dr. Korczak is an advanced practice registered dietitian nutritionist and a board-certified sports dietitian at the RWJBarnabas Health Ambulatory Care Center. She is a published author, recognized speaker/media personality and has worked with professional athletic teams in the past including the Minnesota United Football Club. She continues to teach her online sports nutrition course through the University of Minnesota and has been a successful mentor to many undergraduate and graduate students.
