Lunch & Learn: Living Well with Diabetes at MMCSC

This event takes place at Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus 600 River Avenue in Lakewood, Conference Rooms A/B/C. Around 40 million Americans have diabetes, with an additional 115.2 million having pre-diabetes. Join experts, Autumn Dempsey, RN, CDCES, Program Coordinator, Outpatient Diabetes Education & Nutrition Services, and Teah Arum, MS, RDN, Diabetes Educator, from the Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus Center for Diabetes Education, for an educational session where we will: understand diabetes and risk reduction; learn simple, realistic meal planning techniques; discuss how food impacts blood sugar; address how to prevent complications; explore why diabetes education matters; and gain practical tips you can use immediately. Individuals living with diabetes, those newly diagnosed, those at risk, and caregivers are welcome to attend. Lunch will be provided to attendees.
