Dr. Alter is a boards eligible orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in all conditions in the hand, elbow, and shoulder from the collarbone to the fingertip. He was born and raised in New Jersey and studied Biomedical Engineering at Rutgers University, where he earned summa cum laude honors and developed his interest in biomechanics. After medical school at Thomas Jefferson University, he completed his residency training at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick. He then completed his fellowship at the University of Florida Hand and Upper Extremity Fellowship and trained with world renowned surgeons who helped him learn advanced techniques in upper extremity and micro surgery. In the clinic and the operating room, Dr. Alter is committed to providing the highest level of care to each and every patient.
