Dr. Smruti R. Mohanty, MS, is a gastroenterologist and transplant hepatologist with broad expertise in acute and chronic liver disease. He evaluates candidates for liver transplantation, manages post‑transplant care, and leads multidisciplinary programs for cirrhosis and hepatobiliary disorders. His scholarship spans health‑care disparities, outcomes in NAFLD and autoimmune hepatitis, and viral and inflammatory liver diseases, with more than 150 publications, abstracts, and chapters. He has led division‑level programs and built inpatient and ambulatory hepatology services at major centers.
