Dr. Robin Gehrmann, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, specializes in the treatment of athletes of all ages, from Division 1 competitors to the pediatric athlete. He has a special interest in cartilage restoration and ligament reconstruction in the shoulder, knee and elbow. After completing a fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Gehrmann served as an assistant team physician for the Philadelphia Eagles and Flyers. He then became Director of Sports Medicine at West Virginia University, working with Division 1 athletes as well as teaching residents. When he returned to the Northeast in 2005 he was named Chief of Orthopaedic Sports Medicine at Rutgers- New Jersey Medical School and currently serves as Site Director for Rutgers University orthopedic residents at Overlook where he is helping to teach the next generation of surgeons the finer points of orthopaedics. Several years ago, Dr. Gehrmann decided to add private practice to his resume when he joined North Jersey Orthopaedic Group.

My goal is to treat each patient as an individual and not 'an injury.' I integrate patient age and activity level with their personal expectations. My stress is on patient education so that together we can arrive at the best treatment plan for your lifestyle.
