    Robert V. Vallar, M.D. obtained his BS at Manhattan College, NY in 1979. He graduated from SUNY Downstate Medical Center, where he received his MD in 1985. He completed his Residency in Ophthalmology in 1989 and served as Chief Resident at Nassau County Medical Center in New York. Dr. Robert Vallar completed a Fellowship in Retina-Vitreous Diseases and Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas in 1996. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. At The Valley Hospital, Ridgewood, New Jersey, Dr. Vallar is the Director of Ophthalmology. Dr. Vallar maintains membership in the American Academy of Ophthalmology since 1995.
