Director of the CBMC Pediatric Epilepsy Program
Dr. Lazar is board certified in the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and in Neurology with Special Qualifications in Child Neurology. She earned her bachelor of arts in biology at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA, and her MD and PhD at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, NY. She completed her training in pediatrics at the New York Hospital-Cornell University Medical Center, New York, NY, in Neurology and Child Neurology at the New York Hospital-Cornell University Medical Center, New York, NY, and her residency in senior pediatrics at the Columbia University Medical Center, New York, NY. She trained as an epileptologist at the New York Hospital-Cornell University Medical Center, New York, NY. She has been with NEREG for 10 years. She brings with her decades of experience as a pediatric epilepsy specialist and her research interests in pediatric epilepsy, vagal nerve stimulator, and complementary and alternative medicine.
