Documents Jonathan L. Prenner, MD, is Service Chief of Ophthalmology at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology and Chair of the Department of Ophthalmology at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.Dr. Prenner holds multiple leadership positions in the field of vitreoretinal surgery. He serves as Review Article Section Editor and Assistant Editor of RETINA: The Journal of Retina and Vitreous Diseases, and is the founder and Chief Medical Editor of New Retina MD. He also hosts the Retina Today Video Journal Club and sits on the board of directors and executive council of the American Society of Retinal Specialists. A recognized leader in advancing care for patients with retinal diseases, Dr. Prenner has been the Principal Investigator for numerous international multi-center clinical trials evaluating new treatments for conditions such as age-related macular degeneration. He is frequently invited to lecture at national and international scientific meetings to share original research and innovations in retinal disease management. Dr. Prenner joined NJ Retina in 2004 and is Board Certified in Ophthalmology. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Macula Society, Retina Society, American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Retina Specialists, Society of Heed Fellows, ARVO, Club Vit, and the Buckle Vit Society. In addition, he serves as a manuscript referee for leading ophthalmology journals and contributes to ongoing editorial work within the field.Philosophy of Care:
