Dr. Cautela is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in Sports Medicine. He provides comprehensive care of conditions affecting the knee, shoulder, hip and elbow. His clinical interests include arthroscopy of the knee, shoulder, hip and elbow, ACL and knee ligament reconstruction, meniscus surgery, cartilage restoration, patellofemoral instability, knee osteotomy, rotator cuff repair, shoulder labral repair, shoulder instability, anatomic and reverse total shoulder arthroplasty, hip labral repair/reconstruction, hip impingement, elbow UCL reconstruction/repair, and biceps/triceps repair.
He remains active in research with numerous peer-reviewed publications, presentations, abstracts and textbook chapters. He continues to participate in multiple projects researching a wide range of topics in orthopaedic sports medicine. He is a candidate member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM), and the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA).
