RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Regional Medical Director of Breast Imaging for Employment in NJ

RWJBarnabas Health and Rutgers Cancer Institute (CINJ) of New Jersey are seeking a Medical Director of Breast Imaging to join our team in Monmouth County, NJ. This position is based primarily in Long Branch, NJ right adjacent to beautiful boardwalks and beaches. Supporting patients at the Jacqueline M. Wilentz Breast Center and affiliated programs, the breast center utilizes state-of-the-art equipment and provides comprehensive services, including Tomosynthesis, ultrasound, MRI, and all interventional modalities. 

The Jacqueline M. Wilentz Breast Center is an NQMBC certified quality breast center of excellence and is American College of Radiology (ACR) accredited for mammography, breast ultrasound, and stereotactic breast biopsy. It is also among a handful of breast imaging centers across the nation designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the ACR’s Commission on Quality and Safety and the Commission on Breast Imaging. Qualified candidates will be fellowship trained in breast imaging (or have significant breast imaging experience), with strong breast imaging, diagnostic and interventional skills.

The Medical Director will ensure development of and adherence to clinical protocols, workflow, and administrative policies and will oversee all quality assurance, regulatory activity and resident training in conjunction with administrative leadership for the following locations:

  • Jacqueline M. Wilentz Breast Center at Monmouth Medical Center (Long Branch)
  • Jacqueline M. Wilentz Breast Center at Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus (Lakewood)
  • Breast Center at Community Medical Center (Toms River)
  • Affiliated satellite locations in Monmouth and Ocean Counties

This is an ideal opportunity to be part of a strong team of fellowship-trained breast imagers that are an integral part of the system’s oncology services strategy expanding care and improving quality for patients across NJ.

Preferred candidates will have:

  • At least 5 years of clinical experience
  • Previous leadership experience, program development experience, and/or teaching experience
  • Formal fellowship training in breast imaging
  • Active NJ license or eligible for licensure in NJ
