Pediatric Pulmonary CareThe Pediatric Pulmonary Program at The Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital provides comprehensive care for a full range of respiratory conditions in a family-centered program. Services include programs and treatments for asthma, cystic fibrosis, technology dependence and sleep disorders.

  • Pediatric Asthma Program
    With the incidence and prevalence of asthma increasing, the Asthma Program was established in 2005 to offer comprehensive care and assessment for children with asthma. This care includes routine lung function testing at every clinic visit. Services include:
    • Treatment plan evaluation
    • Special breathing tests
    • Allergy testing
    • Continued care
  • Cystic Fibrosis Center
    The Comprehensive Cystic Fibrosis Center is one of only three CF centers in New Jersey that are accredited by the national Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Services include:
    • Consultation with patients who have a positive newborn screen
    • Comprehensive ambulatory and inpatient care
    • Evaluation and testing
    • Counseling, case management and advocacy
    • Life-long follow-up care
    • Comprehensive education programs
  • Technology-Dependent Patient Support Program
    The Technology-Dependent Patient Support Program was created to help educate patients and their families on how to provide quality medical care to children with special needs at home. Services include:

    • Education for patients and their families
    • Consultation on assistive medical devices
    • Coordination of care at home
  • Comprehensive Sleep Disorders Program
    Our specialized staff, operating under the supervision of board-certified sleep physicians, is available to meet all of your family’s needs. Services include a sleep study that will assess your child’s sleep pattern, including disrupted breathing, snoring, leg movements, heart rhythms and oxygen levels.

Our multidisciplinary team consists of specialty-trained physicians, certified advanced practicing nurses, nurses, respiratory therapists, a social worker, dietitian and other subspecialists as needed.
