NEWARK, NJ (September 16, 2026 — Newark Beth Israel Medical Center officially opened its new Kosher Pantry, a space designed to meet the needs of observant Jewish patients and visitors.

The pantry was built in partnership with Chesed 24/7, a non-profit hospitality organization, providing kosher meals, meal delivery and additional hospitality services to medical centers across the New York and New Jersey metropolitan region.

The pantry will be managed by a combination of Chesed 24/7 staff, volunteers, and hospital facilities teams. It will be available around the clock to those visiting patients in the hospital.
