Dec 9, 2025 U.S. Senator Cory Booker Visits RWJBarnabas Health’s Farm to Community Center Space in Newark

On December 5, RWJBarnabas Health was honored to welcome U.S. Senator Cory Booker to Newark to tour Harvest: An RWJBarnabas Health Farm to Community Center, slated to open in March of 2026, and to share our vision for this first-of-its-kind food hub in New Jersey.

Mark E. Manigan, President and Chief Executive Officer, RWJBarnabas Health, and Darrell K. Terry, Sr., President and Chief Executive Officer, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of New Jersey, along with Community Health and External Affairs leadership, joined Senator Booker for a powerful discussion on advancing efforts to address social determinants of health in New Jersey and to share our deep gratitude for the State’s partnership in these endeavors. The RWJBarnabas Health team highlighted the work we’re doing to address food insecurity, expand access to health care, strengthen local economic vitality, and ultimately, build healthier communities.
