Long Branch, NJ, June 13, 2024 – A Monmouth Medical Center (MMC) Clinical Care Technician (CCT) whose commitment to excellence and unwavering dedication to her patients was praised as nothing short of inspirational has been honored with an excellence in caring award.
Lola Stovall, Lead CCT for G5, has received the hospital’s Lotus Award, which was created to honor a CCT, Patient Care Associate or Technician or Mental Health Associate that has provided extraordinary, compassionate, patient/family-centered care. In nominating Lola, her colleagues praised her as truly remarkable. They wrote:

Lola’s ability to connect with her patients on a personal level is a testament to her outstanding character. She goes above and beyond, never thinking twice about what needs to be done. Her actions speak volumes about her dedication, and her patients feel truly cared for and valued.

Lola was nominated by her peers who have said “she is one of the most outstanding CCT’s we have. She cares for her patients as if each one is a member of her family. She goes above and beyond to attend to their needs. Lola works with the RN’s hand in hand to keep patients safe. She loves what she does and really tries to make patients feel their best in times of illness. I am very happy and honored to be able to work side by side with Lola all these years.”
Lola has been an MMC employee for 16 years and is actively involved in committees, meetings, events, and education of new staff. She has been a member of the CCT Domain since the committee was first established in 2017.
The Lotus Award is a quarterly recognition program at MMC. Lotus Award nominees’ names are all blinded and the nominations go through the hospital’s Patient Care Coordinating Council, which includes staff from Administration, Nursing Leadership and the Chairs of MMC’s Shared Governance Councils.
