Diversity, Equity and Inclusion leaders from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset, Monmouth Medical Center, Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus and the Institute for Prevention and Recovery, and more than 75 employees from across the RWJBarnabas Health system, participated in New Jersey's 31st Annual LGBTQ+ PRIDE Celebration on Sunday, June 4, in Asbury Park.
The PRIDE celebration is one of NJ's largest parades and festivals. The RWJBH team provided information about the system's LGBTQ+ primary care centers and navigations services, including the Babs Siperstein PROUD Center, the PROUD Center at Community Medical Center and the PROUD Gender Center of New Jersey at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. The Institute for Prevention and Recovery and Monmouth Medical Center's teams conducted screenings and provided helpful information. With 10 RWJBarnabas Health facilities designated as Healthcare Equality Index leaders by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, our participation in the PRIDE Celebration demonstrated our organization's continued commitment to the LGBTQ+ community.
