Getting in 30 minutes of movement or exercise everyday can have vast impacts on your health, help longevity and quality of life. The gym may not be for everyone and with everyone's busy schedules, it may be hard to get to the gym on a daily basis. Even going for a brisk walk for 30 minutes can make significant impacts on your health. You can even make it fun and engage your kids and move together with them through play or exercise. If you are at home, resistance bands are a great way to maintain muscle strength and are really convenient to use. They can be utilized for upper body, core, and lower body strengthening. Stretching or yoga right before going to sleep can also count as the 30 minutes of movement. If you have long work days at a computer, make sure to stretch every time you go for a bathroom break. It can be structured or non-structured activities, as long as you are getting the movement in! If you are driving somewhere try parking further away from the door to get some extra steps in or take the stairs instead of the escalator or elevator.

Daily movement can help you develop better sleep, have more energy to be more engaged throughout the day, and boost your creativity and focus! Other benefits include having reduced stress, improved mental health and improved immune system! So, get moving to stay healthy!
