Dec 12, 2022 A Special Delivery of Toys

It was all hands on deck on Sunday, December 11, when the U-Haul truck with more than 1,000 toys collected at Michael and Michelle Chieffo’s annual toy drive in Nutley, pulled up in front of Clara Maass Medical Center to make the special delivery.

Each holiday season, the Chieffo family holds the toy drive and block party outside their home in Nutley—the town’s biggest charity event of the year—where new and unwrapped toys are collected from generous neighbors and friends and donated to Clara Maass and other hospitals in the area.

At Clara Maass, the toys will be used to bring joy to children and their siblings in the Emergency and Same Day Surgery Departments. The toys will also be donated to adult inpatients, who are unable to purchase gifts for their children, grandchildren and other special children in their lives this holiday season.
