Oct 1, 2021 Saint Barnabas Medical Center Celebrates Breast Cancer Awareness Month

This October, as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Saint Barnabas Medical Center (SBMC) and the Barnabas Health Ambulatory Care Center (ACC) are once again partnering with The Mall at Short Hills and restaurants throughout Essex and Morris Counties to raise awareness for breast health.

The Breast Center at the Barnabas Health Ambulatory Care Center is one of the largest Breast Centers in the United States. Caring for more than 65,000 patients, the services include a variety of screening and diagnostic procedures for detecting breast cancer and pinpointing other suspicious areas in the breast.

Early detection is crucial for breast cancer and can improve a woman’s overall prognosis. Breast health is too important to wait. Visit www.rwjbh.org/mammo to schedule a mammogram, and spread the word on social media.

The Mall at Short Hills

Visit The Mall at Short Hills through October 30, 2021 to see The Faces of Breast Cancer, a striking display located in Grand Court and throughout the mall. It showcases the powerful stories of women who received their care at Saint Barnabas Medical Center and reinforces the partnership with Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey — the state’s only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. In addition, view the wall of ribbons (located adjacent to the Apple Store) representing the 8,330 women in New Jersey diagnosed with breast cancer every year.

Saint Barnabas Medical Center is also partnering with 40 stores throughout the mall to display valuable breast health tips from our doctors, including Allen Edmonds; Anne Fontaine; Aritzia; Aveda; Bloomingdale's; BOSS Hugo Boss; Brooks Brothers; Bulgari; California Pizza Kitchen; Canada Goose; Casper; Chico's; Coach; Fendi; Impossible Kicks; Industrious; J. Jill; Johnny Was; Kendra Scott; Liv Breads Artisan Bakery and Coffee Bar; Neiman Marcus; Oliver Peoples; Racefaster; Real Fruit Bubble Tea; Ruth's Chris Steak House; Steve Madden; Sunglass Hut, Lower Level; Sunglass Hut, Upper Level; Swarovski; Talbots; Tonal; Van Cleef & Arpels; Venus et Fleur; Vilebrequin; Vineyard Vines; Wacoal; Wentworth Gallery; White House | Black Market; and Wolford.
