New Brunswick, NJ – Children’s Specialized Hospital has been recognized on Newsweek’s list of World’s Best Specialized Hospitals 2022. Presented by Newsweek and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry-ranking provider, this prestigious award is given to hospitals considered as leading providers in any given medical subspecialty.
This is the first year that pediatric hospitals were specifically recognized in Newsweek’s annual medical specialty survey, which also ranked adult hospitals in a variety of other disciplines including cardiac surgery, cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, neurology, neurosurgery, oncology, orthopedics and pulmonology.
Newsweek and Statista invited more than 40,000 health care providers, workers, and hospital leaders from over 20 countries, to provide primary and secondary recommendations for each specialty via online survey on Newsweek.com. Additionally, survey participants could not self-nominate their own hospitals. A global board of renowned medical experts then reviewed and validated the results of the survey.
Children’s Specialized Hospital is honored to be recognized with this award that, according to Newsweek, helps patients and families know which “hospitals or state of the art facilities have the most accomplished physicians and diagnosticians and offer the highest level of care.”
“We are ecstatic to be recognized on Newsweek’s list of World’s Best Specialized Hospitals,” said Matthew B. McDonald III, MD, President and CEO, Children’s Specialized Hospital. “Every day, we’re privileged to care for children and adolescents facing special health challenges. Our incredible team of pediatric specialists works tirelessly to ensure every one of our patients can reach their full potential, making our many innovative therapies and medical treatments unique to their individual needs. I am awestruck by their unwavering compassion and commitment to our patients and families, and I’m so proud they’ve been recognized in this way.”
