
Ingredients
1 15oz. can garbanzo beans (chickpeas)1 clove fresh garlic, or 1 tsp. minced garlic
¼ c lemon juice, or the juice of ½ a fresh lemon
2 Tbsp Tahini (sesame paste)
2 Tbsp olive oil
Directions
- Drain the chickpeas and retain the fluid in a separate bowl.
- Put chickpeas, garlic and Tahini in a food processor and begin to blend. You may also use a blender, or mash by hand with a vegetable masher.
- When the chickpeas start to become mashed, add lemon juice and olive oil.
- Continue to blend until smooth.
- If necessary, add retained fluid from can or extra water, oil or lemon juice if you prefer a thinner consistency.
