Mar 31, 2020 Josh Harris, David Blitzer and New Jersey Devils Make a Significant and Impactful Donation to RWJBarnabas Health Emergency Response Fund to Combat COVID-19

Staff at Monmouth Medical Center with hand sanitizer donationJosh Harris, David Blitzer and the New Jersey Devils are making a significant and impactful donation to RWJBarnabas Health’s Emergency Response Fund to help combat the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Prudential donation 3M masksThe comprehensive emergency care efforts require essential medical equipment to ensure the safety and proper protection of all health care workers and first responders. RWJBarnabas Health partners like the New Jersey Devils recognize that this is an important step in assisting the more than 35,000 system employees that are working tirelessly each day and the thousands of patients treated daily.

The RWJBarnabas Health Foundation established an Emergency Response Fund thanks to the outpouring of generosity from the community. A variety of personal protective equipment (PPE), including N95 respirators and surgical masks, gloves, gowns, cleaning supplies, hand sanitizer, eye protection and other necessary medical equipment, such as ventilators continue to be critically needed. Today’s donation by Harris, Blitzer and the Devils will provide funds to help purchase such materials for RWJBarnabas Health.

As part of an ongoing commitment to help their communities during this time of need, this contribution to RWJBarnabas Health by Harris, Blitzer and the Devils follows a six-figure donation made to the city of Newark to support a program that provides gift cards for groceries to city families in need.
