Jun 15, 2020 Trinitas’ Gary Horan Re-Elected to NJ Chamber Board

Gary S. Horan, FACHE, of Sea Girt, President and Chief Executive Officer of Trinitas Regional Medical Center, has been re-elected to the Board of Directors of the NJ Chamber of Commerce for a three-year term.

The State Chamber's Board of Directors provides the guidance necessary for the N.J. Chamber to promote a vibrant business climate throughout the state and to develop proactive solutions that will solve the challenges facing New Jersey's business community. Horan has served on the Chamber’s Board since 2006.

Horan is currently in his 19th year as the chief executive of Trinitas, a 554-bed full service teaching hospital based in Elizabeth. Trinitas provides care to nearly half a million residents through major services that include behavioral health, cancer, cardiology, renal care, emergency medicine, diabetes management, wound care and more. The Trinitas School of Nursing, established in 1891, is one of the largest hospital-based nursing schools in the nation. With eighty locations, Trinitas provides care throughout New Jersey.

Horan has extensive experience in health care leadership among hospitals in New Jersey and New York. Before coming to Trinitas, he served for 11 years as the President and CEO of Our Lady of Mercy Healthcare System, Bronx, New York. He is current Chairman of the Hospital Alliance of New Jersey, and past Chairman and current member of the Board of Governors of the Greater New York Hospital Association. Mr. Horan currently serves as Chairman of the Board of the Catholic Healthcare Partnership of New Jersey.

Horan is an alumnus of Xavier High School. He earned his BS degree in Economics from St. Peter's College, Jersey City, and his MA degree in Health Care Administration from The George Washington University School of Government and Business, Department of Health Care Administration, Washington, DC.
