Affiliations Profile Video Sirish Dharmapuri, MD, board certified in medical oncology and internal medicine, specializes in treating solid tumors and is actively involved in therapeutic clinical trials and pioneering treatments for metastatic gastrointestinal (GI) cancers. He has expertise in hepatic arterial infusion therapy, an advanced method for treating liver metastasis. After completing his fellowship, he served as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine/Gastrointestinal Oncology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York, and Assistant Director of Cancer Clinical Trials at Mount Sinai West. His research focuses on developing novel biomarkers and therapeutics for GI malignancies, and innovative immunotherapeutic strategies to combat cancer. He has been a principal or sub-investigator in over 20 clinical trials of new therapies for GI cancers. He has also created real-world data databases to identify clinicopathological predictors of patient outcomes with new therapies.

My philosophy is to prioritize patient-centered care, ensuring empathy, holistic treatment, and evidence-based personalized plans. I emphasize collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and involve patients and families in decision-making. Preventive measures and lifestyle guidance are key, along with managing symptoms and integrating palliative care to maintain quality of life.
