Jason Krystofiak, MD

Jason Krystofiak, MD, CAQSM, a primary care sports medicine physician, is the Section Chief of Sports Medicine at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center and the Medical Director of Sports Medicine and Medical Director of the Matthew J. Morahan III Health Assessment Center for Athletes at RWJBarnabas Health. He is one of the team physicians for Rutgers Athletics including the team physician for Rutgers Football. Dr. Krystofiak is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine and Community Health at Rutgers - Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS). He previously served as the Medical Director for Sky Blue FC.
Philosophy of Care: To provide the highest level of care, offering highly individualized management plans to best fit the patient, whether they are a professional, youth or recreational athlete. I use the most current non-surgical methods to support each patient’s goals to return to activity.
Clinical Interests: Sports and exercise injuries including sprains, strains, joint pain and stress fracture; concussion evaluation and management; sports physicals including electrocardiogram screening; diagnostic and interventional musculoskeletal ultrasonography; injection therapy including cortisone and orthobiologics; joint aspirations, tendinopathy and osteoarthritis management; shockwave therapy; compartment testing; and biomechanical evaluation.
