"I went to take one of the jugs out of my pick up truck and I couldn't
move it"
Before his heart attack, John Dziedic never smoked and went to the gym
regularly. He maintained what he thought was a healthy lifestyle, so he
hadn't been to see a doctor in years. Then, a few days after Hurricane
Sandy, John had a potentially fatal heart attack. Thanks to the quick
thinking of his son and the staff at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital
Rahway, John survived a heart attack known as "The Widowmaker."
Now, John makes time to visit his doctor and can sometimes be found encouraging
other cardiac patients through their rehab.
