Tennis Rehabilitation
If you have injured yourself playing tennis or have an injury that is preventing you from playing, you should be rehabbing with an iTPA Certified Tennis Performance Trainer. The TPT certification focuses on evidence-based tennis-specific research to ensure tennis athletes are being treated with specific techniques to optimize recovery, improve performance, and reduce injuries.
Bidoex Testing
When it comes to returning to a sport or labor-intensive job after an injury it is important to ensure your body is ready. Most re-injuries occur because the person was not strong enough to return. The Biodex is the most accurate tool to assess force production in physical rehabilitation. At the end of your testing, you will receive an easy to read graph highlighting your physical capacities and limitations. This will help give you the confidence that you are ready to get back to your life.
Blood Flow Restriction Training (BFRT)
After injury or surgery, improving strength and muscle growth is a high priority. However, after injury, most individuals are unable to lift heavy weights to induce muscle adaptation. BFRT allows the strength and hypertrophy phases of rehabilitation to begin earlier. With BFRT, a pneumatic cuff is applied at the top part of the muscle that is being trained. The cuff is inflated to a specific pressure to decrease the blood flow to that muscle. This creates an environment that allows for increased muscle growth.
