Graduation Requirements
Required Projects and Presentations
- Complete 1 IRB approved residency project and written manuscript in publishable form
- Complete 1 medication use evaluation
- Create or revise 1 hospital policy, procedure, or protocol

Provide, at a minimum, the following presentations:
- 1 patient case presentation
- 10 topic discussions
- 1 formulary monograph
- 2 journal clubs presentations
- 2 formal drug information questions
- 1 clinical competency education lecture for pharmacy staff
- 4 pharmacy huddles
- 1 nursing or medical provider education program
Conference Attendance
- Maintain active involvement in ASHP and NJSHP
- Present project poster at ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting
- Present project poster at NJSHP Annual Meeting & Exhibition
- Present platform at Eastern States Residency Conference
Learning Experiences
- Pharmacist licensure from the NJ Board of Pharmacy by September 15th
- Earn an “Achieved for the Residency” for select ASHP residency
goals (9 goals of the required 32)
- Earn an “Achieved for the Residency” for 80% of the remaining 23 goals

Attend/observe the following committee meetings as a guest at least once:
- Medication Management / Medication Safety Meeting
- RWJBarnabas Health Clinical Council Meeting
- RWJBarnabas Health Directors Council Meeting
- Participate in Pharmacy and Therapeutics meetings and prepare minutes for
the meetings
- Inpatient pharmacy staffing assignment (every other weekend)
