Resident Wellness

Resident wellness is a very important aspect of the residency program. Yearly, there is an overnight resident retreat - which all residents attend. Other yearly events attending by all residents include sports day, graduation, and resident research day. In addition, there are monthly resident wellness events.

Resident Letter

Hello Dr. Kindzierski,

I hope this email finds you doing well. It's hard to believe that I am nearly one year into fellowship. The volume here is just as advertised - so much that it was impossible for me to be completely a 'research' fellow during my first year, and I am grateful to have gotten some time in the operating room. As I have navigated my training here and observed the skills, comfort level, and confidence of others, including but not limited to my Attendings, Co-Fellows, and General OB/GYNs in practice here, I have come to realize that I was immensely fortunate to have trained at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center. I realize more and more how much of a gem our program truly is, and it's a testament to how much you, and all of our Attendings have worked to create that environment. I couldn't possibly list all of our Attendings in this email, but I hope that you can share this email with them, as a sincere thanks, from the bottom of my heart!

Thank you, for trusting me with your patients, thank you for instilling the confidence in me that I could tackle any obstacle, thank you for handing me the scalpel and trusting that I would know where to cut, and above all, instructing me in the process! Thank you for the spontaneous happy celebrations too!

I often brag about the quality of our program, and the quality of the residents that we graduate from our program. The driving factor behind that is the dedication of the Attendings and the leadership to create a culture that is conducive to learning, constant improvement, and autonomy.

So again, thank you all, from the bottom of my heart - for training me, for being patient with me, for pushing me, and above all, for trusting that I would always put your patients first.

Best Regards,

Nnamdi Gwacham
