Example of a regular 2 week schedule:
- AM sign off: 6:30 a.m.
- Morning Report: 7:45 a.m.
- Teaching Rounds: 9:00 a.m.
- During the day residents get admissions between 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
- Sign off to short call team: 3:30 pm
- Every fourth day is a short call day for the floor teams.
- Call is from 2:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
- Night Float is from 6:30 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.
Our program strictly adheres to the ACMGE’s Duty hour guidelines. No one is allowed to work more than 80 a week, averaged over a 4 week period.
