Credentials Verification Organization (CVO)
The credentialing & clinical privileging functions of RWJBarnabas Health (RWJBH) are supported by the Health System’s Credentials Verification Organization (CVO). The CVO supports RWJBH’s ongoing compliance with legal, professional and accreditation requirements promulgated by public agencies and private organizations, including but not limited to federal and state regulations, and the Joint Commission, DNV and NCQA accreditation standards.
For providers aligned with RWJBH, the CVO works in collaboration with Human Resources, Payor Enrollment and representatives from our affiliated Hospital Medical Staff Offices to eliminate the redundancy and duplication of processes relating to the on-boarding process. The CVO processes credentialing applications and obtains primary source verification on behalf of RWJBH.
