This symposium is designed to provide the necessary knowledge and skills for renal health professionals who wish to broaden their knowledge of renal and pancreas transplantation. It is designed for dialysis nurses, patient care technicians, social workers and dietitians.

All participating RNs and Social Workers will be certified as 2019 Transplant Surgeon Designees according to the guidelines established by The Renal and Pancreas Transplant Division at Saint Barnabas Medical Center.

Contact Hours

For Nurses: This continuing nursing activity was approved by American Nephrology Nurses’ Association – Approver an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation for 6.25 contact hours.

For PCTs: This activity has been submitted to NANT, National Association of Nephrology Technicians /Technologists for approval to award contact hours to patient care technicians.

For Social Workers: For information about continuing education credits for social workers please contact Christina Psathas at

For Dietitians: This program has been approved for a total of 6.0 CPEUs by the Commission on Dietetic Registration, the Credentialing Center’s agency for the American Dietetic Association.
