Diabetes distress is the emotional and psychological burden of living with diabetes. Melissa Jacobs, MSW, LCSW, CDCES, a clinical social worker and certified diabetes care and education specialist, will be discussing the emotional challenges that comes with managing diabetes and how these feelings can impact motivation, self-care, and quality of life.
Participants will learn ways to recognize signs of diabetes distress, build emotional resilience, and find support strategies that make living with diabetes feel more manageable and empowering.
This program will be hosted in-person at the RWJBarnabas Health Ambulatory Care Center, Conference Room A, 200 South Orange Avenue, Livingston, NJ 07039. Advanced registration is required.
