Target Audience: School Nurses

Session will include:

  • Physician review of diabetes case
  • Nursing overview of school care
  • Dietician review of nutrition for students with diabetes
  • Social work presentation about psychosocial aspects of diabete care

Learning Outcomes for CEU’s

  • The learner will state one current technology to manage diabetes.
  • The learner will state one sign and/or symtom of hyperglycemia & hypoglycemia and one initital treatment of each.
  • The learner will state hyperglycemia pump protocol & implementation of use.

Number of contact hours: 5.5 CEU’s: CME credits/contact hours will be awarded to those attending, participating and meeting the requirements of completion for this course. Participants must be present for the entire course, complete, and submit program evaluation.
