Yelena Potylitsina, MD

Dr. Potylitsina is board certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics and has been a practicing pediatrician for more than 10 years. She was named one of America's top pediatricians by Consumer's Research Council of America in 2010 and 2011.
Before joining Barnabas Health Medical Group, Dr. Potylitsina worked as a staff pediatrician at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and Somerset Medical Center, where she provided care for babies at the newborn nursery, treated ill children in both clinical and hospital settings and transported critically ill children as a member of the pediatric intensive care unit team. She was an assistant professor of pediatrics at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where she taught medical students, family medicine and pediatric residents. Her research papers were published in various peer-reviewed journals, including the American Journal of Pediatrics.
Dr. Potylitsina completed pediatric residency training at Nassau University Medical Center in Long Island, N.Y. She earned her medical degree at the National Medical University in Kiev, Ukraine, and completed a fellowship in clinical pharmacology and toxicology at the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto.
Dr. Potylitsina lives in Monmouth County with her husband and three children. She has firsthand experience balancing a professional career and family life. She understands the need for busy families to have direct access to their children's doctor and is willing to accommodate working parents in her practice. She is fluent in Russian and Ukrainian.
