    William R. Grubb, DDS, MD is an established and highly skilled physician with over 30 years of experience in anesthesia and interventional pain management service. He is the Program Director of the Pain Fellowship and Division Chief of Pain Management at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He received his undergraduate degree from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania his DDS from New York University College of Dentistry; and his MD from George Washington School of Medicine, Washington, D.C., where he also completed his anesthesiology residency. Dr. Grubb completed a pain fellowship at Georgetown University Medical Center and his cardiovascular fellowship at the University of South Florida in Tampa. He has contributed to publications in Anesthesiology, Anesthesia and Analgesia and other professional publications. He has impacted many through his lectures, workshops and presentations. He has treated thousands of patients in his practice at the NJ Pain Institute and has expertise in a variety of pain management areas such as neuromodulation, reflex sympathetic dystrophy (RSD), and cancer pain.

    Dr. Grubb was recently trained in the implantation of the Vertiflex device which he now can offer to his patients. The Vertiflex interspinous spacer is an FDA-approved device that is implanted in the spine to specifically address the symptoms of lumbar spinal stenosis including numbness and tingling, difficulty walking, leg weakness and back pain. Dr. Grubb has been happily married for more than thirty years and is the proud father of a daughter who resides on the West Coast. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends while boating, waterskiing and gathering at the Jersey Shore.
