    William Boyan, Jr., MD is a general surgeon with Barnabas Health Medical Group and specializes in kidney and liver transplantation as well as hepatobiliary surgery. He completed his undergraduate degree in biology at Syracuse University, Syracuse, New York and received his medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. Dr. Boyan completed his surgical residency at Monmouth Medical Center and a fellowship in abdominal organ transplant and hepatobiliary surgery at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. He is currently Assistant Professor of Liver Transplant and Hepatobiliary Surgery at University Hospital, Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey.

    Dr. Boyan is Board Certified in Surgery by the American Board of Surgery and a Certified Abdominal Transplant Surgeon by the American Society of Transplant Surgeons.Dr. Boyan is a member of the American Society of Transplant Surgeons and the Americas Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association.

    Dr. Boyan believes that patients should be able to get their complete complex care close to home.
