Victoria H. Ko, MD is a pediatric surgeon at RWJBarnabas Health and a proud New Jersey native who has returned home to serve her community. She completed her fellowship in pediatric surgery at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital and her general surgery residency at Rutgers – New Jersey Medical School. Additionally, she pursued postdoctoral research at Boston Children's Hospital, focusing on vascular biology and pediatric pulmonary diseases. Dr. Ko earned her Doctor of Medicine from Rutgers – NJMS and a Bachelor of Science in Neural Science from New York University.
With a strong passion for surgical education, Dr. Ko is committed to training the next generation of surgeons while advancing pediatric surgical care. She has contributed extensively to surgical research, with numerous presentations and publications on pediatric surgery, pulmonary growth, and vascular biology. Her work has been recognized with multiple awards, including the American Thoracic Society Assembly on Pediatrics Abstract Scholarship and the Joseph Murray Resident Research Basic Science Oral Award.
Dr. Ko remains dedicated to providing exceptional care to her community while mentoring and educating surgical residents to shape the future of the field.
