Affiliations Dr. Tamara Quezada is a bilingual (Spanish/English) licensed psychologist with specialized training in gastrointestinal (GI) psychology. She earned both her Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Psychology from the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology at Rutgers University. Dr. Quezada began her career providing assessment and therapy services for children and adolescents who had experienced abuse and neglect, as well as conducting evaluations of alleged perpetrators. Over time, Dr. Quezada’s clinical focus expanded to the mind-body connection, particularly the impact of gut-brain interactions on physical and emotional health. Dr. Quezada is passionate about helping individuals manage GI related conditions that affect their overall well-being. Dr. Quezada enjoys helping patients understand the critical role of the nervous system in their health, and guides them in developing strategies to manage gastrointestinal symptoms, reduce stress, and regain a sense of control of their overall functioning. Her approach to treatment is multidisciplinary, collaborating with gastrointestinal medical providers, nutritionist, and school systems, as needed.
