Dr. Mur is fellowship trained in advanced head and neck oncologic surgery with expertise in microvascular reconstruction. He treats a wide array of head and neck pathologies including those of the nasopharynx, oral cavity, oropharynx, larynx, skin cancer of the head and neck, salivary glands, and thyroid and parathyroid glands. He has also received specialized training in minimally invasive techniques, including transoral robotic surgery and transoral laser microsurgery.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Mur has participated in scientific projects including a nationally funded grant comparing the effects of tobacco and vaping products on the airway. He is fluent in English and Arabic and is a member of the American Head and Neck Society, the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, and the Triological Society.

Dr. Mur’s philosophy of care involves the entire scope of treatment and beyond—from diagnosis to surgery, reconstruction, follow-up care, and quality-of-life considerations. He listens carefully to patient concerns and takes each patient’s needs and goals into account when devising treatment and follow-up plans.
