Dr. Gupta has served in the residency Program since 2012, first as core faculty and now as the Residency Program Director. She is committed to providing full-scope training in Obstetrics and Gynecology with the highest standards of excellence and innovation in teaching and clinical care. Dr. Gupta is a minimally invasive surgeon. Dr. Gupta is a passionate educator and strives to teach with an intuitive and engaging approach. She is committed to mentoring and maintaining a supportive learning environment for her residents. Dr. Gupta is dedicated to promoting and maintaining diversity.
Dr. Gupta, born and raised in India, completed her Medical School at the prestigious King George's Medical University, which is ranked in the Top 10 medical schools in India. She then moved to the USA and did her internship at John H. Stroger hospital at Cook County Chicago and then relocated to Newark Beth Israel Medical Center to complete her residency training where she served as administrative chief resident and received an award of outstanding professionalism in medicine. She then joined as Faculty in Obstetrics and Gynecology Department in 2012. She was serving as core faculty to the residency program and then became Associate Program Director before taking over Program as Director. Dr. Gupta received ACOG National Faculty Award in 2019.
Outside of work, Dr. Gupta is happily married and has two children. She enjoys mentoring women along their journeys as she strives to maintain balance as an OB/GYN physician.
