Dr. Sergio Baerga is an acute-care surgeon on staff at Trinitas Physicians Practice in Rahway, NJ.
Dr. Baerga's education includes a residency at the Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. In 2002, he received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Ponce School of Medicine, Ponce, Puerto Rico. His undergraduate studies included a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Puerto Rico, where he graduated magna cum laude.
His experience includes work as an attending physician in both the Department of Surgery and the Emergency Department of the Methodist Hospital, Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Baerga was also a general surgeon on staff at the Methodist Hospital.
Additionally, Dr. Baerga worked as a chemist for Merck, Sharp and Dohme in Arecibo, Puerto Rico and Environmental Quality Laboratories in Santurce, PR.
Dr. Baerga is a member of the American Medical Association, a Resident and Associate Society of the American College of Surgeons, and the Medical Society of the State of New York.
