Sameh Abdelaal, MD

Dr. Sam is a native of Alexandria, Egypt, where he graduated medical school over 30 years ago. He has been a resident of NJ for over 27 years, he is board certified in infectious disease and internal medicine and he is fluent in English, Arabic, and French.
Dr. Sam has extensive experience in the supervision and teaching of medical residents, fellows, and students. He has also served as a professor of medicine for various healthcare modalities at institutions such as; Seton Hall University, Georgian Court University, Passaic County Community College, and the Eastern School of Acupuncture, amongst others.
His background and love of teaching allows him to connect with, and empower his patients by educating them on their health and well-being which give the patients full control over their lives and bodies. He has a passion for making the difference to the underserved and marginalized. As an advocate for the well-being of the LGBQTIA community, he promotes and supports complete patient autonomy. Dr. Sam says to his patients: “I want you to be happy, and for that, I need you to be healthy”.
In addition to Dr. Sam’s love of medicine, he has a passion for music, which he enjoys when he is not working. He looks forward to providing superior quality of service working with the patients and team at the PROUD Center.
