Dr. Robert E. Gross is an internationally recognized neurosurgeon specializing in functional and stereotactic neurosurgery. As Joint Chair of Neurosurgery at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and New Jersey Medical School, and Senior Vice President for Neurosurgical Services at RWJBarnabas Health, he leads systemwide neurosurgical innovation. His NIH-funded research focuses on neuromodulation for conditions such as epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, and depression. Dr. Gross has been instrumental in developing deep brain stimulation therapies that improve patient outcomes and enhance quality of life. His dedication to research, education, and mentorship continues to shape the next generation of neurosurgeons.
