Dr. Richard Drachtman is a pediatric hematologist-oncologist at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, where he directs the Pediatric Comprehensive Sickle Cell Center. A fellow of the National Cancer Institute’s Children’s Oncology Group, he develops clinical trials for pediatric cancers and benign hematologic disorders. Dr. Drachtman’s compassionate approach emphasizes both medical excellence and quality of life for children and their families.
