    Dr. Mani has over 15 years’ experience in advanced epilepsy, EEG clinical neurophysiology and other neurology patient care & clinical research projects/trials.

    He has specialized research training in Epilepsy and Neurophysiology; Clinical Trials & Therapeutics; Epidemiology and Biostatistics.

    He takes care of patients in the full spectrum of seizure & epilepsy severity — those dealing with optimal management of their first seizure to those with years of uncontrolled epilepsy or medication side effects. His goal is improvement of the lives of his patients by providing scientific-based and state-of-the-art medications, safe & effective necessary surgeries, neuro-stimulation devices, and non-medication management. He works as part of our NAEC Level 4 Multi-disciplinary Epilepsy Center Team (FOR ADULT AND PEDIATRIC PATIENTS), leads and participate in several national and worldwide clinical trials, and collaborates with other leading Epilepsy Centers & researchers to give his patients the best outcomes.

    He has won NJ Best Physician Awards; been awarded NIH Research Funding & Awards; and has worked with medical researchers to lead and participate in numerous epilepsy clinical trials. Trials allow NJ patients to receive greater access to cutting-edge medications and other interventions for epilepsy.

    He has Board Certifications in Epilepsy, EEG Monitoring, Neurophysiology, and Neurology.

    He serves as Director of Quality & Safety for the Rutgers RWJMS Department of Neurology.

    He serves as Associate Director of the Rutgers RWJMS Neurology Clerkship to educate hundreds of medical students and other neurologists per year in NJ.

    Dr. Mani’s formal training includes: a BA (Molecular Biology & Biochemistry; Psychology & Behavioral Neuroscience; more at Rutgers College in New Brunswick, NJ); MD (Dartmouth Medical School; Geisel School of Medicine); Medical Internship (Lahey Clinic Medical Center, Tufts); Neurology Residency (Tufts Medical Center; rotations at Childrens Hospital of Boston); Fellowship in Epilepsy, Neurophysiology & Research Degree (Hospital of the Univeristy of Pennsylvania; including rotations at Childrens Hospital of Pennsylvania). He continues to stay up-to-date with regular professional conferences and more, and he contributes to writing and lecturing to educate other doctors and providers.

    He has been working at Robert Wood Johnson New Brunswick for more than a decade.
