Dr. Niazi joined the faculty of Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in the Division of Liver Transplant and Hepatology in August 2017. He is associate professor of Medicine and also serves as Director Outpatient Hepatology Services. Dr. Niazi received his medical degree from Punjab Medical College (Pakistan) and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Long Island College Hospital Newyork and additionally completed a one-year fellowship in Adult Hepatology at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, formally known as UMDNJ
Dr. Niazi is board certified in Internal Medicine. He practices as a general and Transplant Hepatologist at University Hospital in Newark, New Jersey.

My philosophy of care is grounded in compassion, respect, and patient-centered practice. In caring for individuals with chronic liver diseases which carries high Morbidity and mortality and emotional impact not only the patients but their caregivers. I recognize the physical, emotional, and social challenges associated with chronic and progressive illness. I am committed to providing non-judgmental, evidence-based care that honors each patient’s dignity and unique life experience. Through education, open communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration, I strive to empower patients and their families to actively participate in their care, improve quality of life, and navigate the complexities of liver disease with support, understanding, and hope.

Liver cancer, chronic liver diseases and cirrhosis. Portal Hypertension. Viral hepatitis and liver transplant management
