Mina Gaballa, D.O. is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology, specializing in Interventional Pain, at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS). He is double board certified in anesthesiology and pain medicine. He graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2013 with his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, and a Minor in Psychology from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. He went on to obtain his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine (SOM). Following medical school, he completed his internal medicine internship at Jersey Shore University Medical Center before completing his anesthesia residency and pain medicine fellowship at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School (NJMS). During his time there, he was chosen by the Department of Anesthesiology to receive the Albert P. Shih Humanitarian Award for his unfailing primary dedication to patient care and selfless work ethic of congeniality and loyalty to colleagues, residents, staff, and institution. Dr. Gaballa has collaborated on a variety of research publications and has presented at many conferences. The primary focus of his practice is acute and chronic pain disorders including neck, thoracic, and low back pain, joint related pain (sacroiliac, knees, shoulders, hips, ankles, elbows, wrist), complex regional pain syndrome, and post-laminectomy pain syndrome. He regularly attends courses to continue learning new cutting edge approaches in order to reach his goal of providing his patients the best care possible. He is fluent in Arabic, having been born in Egypt, and later immigrating to the United States when he was just six years old. He grew up in East Brunswick. When he is not treating patients, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling, and playing sports.
