    Marshall McKenna, MD, is a hematologist/oncologist at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center (CBMC) who specializes in malignant hematology particularly leukemia, lymphoma, myelodysplastic syndrome, myeloproliferative neoplasms, and myeloma. Prior to joining CBMC, he completed his residency in internal medicine at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School where he was named chief resident. Dr. McKenna completed a fellowship in hematology/oncology at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and the Rutgers Cancer Institute where he was selected as chief fellow.

    Dr. McKenna has been actively involved in clinical research throughout his career. He was the recipient of the Melvin H. Motolinksy Research Foundation Award for excellence in hematology research during his fellowship. Additionally, he has authored/co-authored multiple original articles and abstracts on different hematologic malignancies and presented research at national and international conferences. In collaboration with the Rutgers Cancer Institute, he is able to offer his patients innovative therapies like immunotherapy, bispecific antibodies, CAR-T cell therapy, and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, while also striving to advance current treatment modalities through patient centered clinical trials.

    As an oncologist, I am dedicated to providing compassionate and personalized treatment plans that prioritize preserving and enhancing the overall well-being of my patients. Ultimately my goal is to foster a collaborative environment with patients, their families, and healthcare teams in order to ensure that every patient feels respected and supported. Through teamwork and an evidence-based approach, I am focused on providing outstanding care while being a true advocate for my patients.
