    Marc A. Milano, MD, FACEP, Chair, Department of Emergency Medicine at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of New Jersey

    Born and schooled in Northern New Jersey, Marc A. Milano, MD, FACEP, Chair, Department of Emergency Medicine at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of New Jersey, is grateful to be back serving the community where he lived and trained. He attended Rutgers University, earning a degree in Biology and after a few years in the workforce, he was accepted to St. George's University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. After medical school Dr. Milano completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident. Prior to returning to Newark Beth Israel, he has worked in the communities where he has lived including Overlook Medical Center's Union Campus, Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, and RWJ University Hospital Somerset, where he also was Chair of Emergency Medicine.

    His professional interests are: Patient Experience, Stroke, Sepsis, Patient Throughput and Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) for substance use disorders.
