Ishani K. Patel, MD
- Family Medicine
I am a Family Medicine Physician with extensive experience in preventive medicine, geriatric medicine, weight loss medicine, and wellness care. My background includes the management of acute, subacute, and chronic diseases, with a strong focus on providing comprehensive and personalized care. I have worked in both in-patient and out-patient settings, allowing me to deliver a wide range of medical services across various stages of care.
Philosophy of Care:
I have a deep passion for Family Medicine. As a Family Physician, what I cherish most is the opportunity to truly connect with my patients—not just by addressing their medical conditions, but by understanding them as whole individuals. I value learning about their backgrounds, cultures, mental health, and personal experiences, which all play an integral role in their overall well-being. One of the most rewarding aspects of my practice is counseling. For many of my patients, I may be the only person they feel comfortable opening up to, and I see that as a profound responsibility and privilege. I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where they feel heard and cared for. Family Medicine is incredibly dynamic, encompassing a wide spectrum of conditions across all stages of life—from pediatrics to geriatrics. This diversity keeps me engaged and constantly learning. My additional areas of interest include wellness medicine and weight management, where I focus on sustainable, patient-centered approaches to improve long-term health outcomes.
